The challenge of monochrome

Monochrome. A never ending challenge

The monochrome, always captivating to me, regardless of the color used. It’s challenging because it’s not just the absence of color.

I am fortunate to have considerable experience in old black and white photography, as well as film development, practically managing every step from capturing the shot to printing on paper, as we used to say.

And then, the subject.
Essential. Minimal. Concentrated.

Here’s another subject I’d like to explore.
It doesn’t happen often around here, but when it does, on the sea, one morning, I saw it more or less like this, just a stone’s throw from home.

Challenge accepted for monochrome.

From my small secret sketchbook, it will soon evolve into something larger.
